Photoset: Olympique Lyonnais receives le Trophee des Champions at the Red Bull stadium in NJ

I was impressed with this French Supercup match and I must say I think the two teams were pretty even. Montpellier had the upper hand ithroughout the first half, and initially in the second half, when they gained a penalty (via handball) that was promptly netted. However the players from Lyonnais took this as a challenge and pressed to answer both goals. For a foul, Montpellier remained with 10 players later in the game which created more space for the equalizer OL goal that followed. Trophy was decided via penalties where Hugo Lloris was decisive for the winners. 

I was pleased with the stadium experience and I’d definitely visit it again if I could. Don’t know how the local team plays but if there is an international friendly there I would recommend going. The transportation could be uncomfortable, unless you fetch an early PATH train, but it takes you right there. Watching a game live at such a nice stadium enhances the experience astronomically, in a way that no HD television can.

My first time doing this on the tumblr but thought it was a good way to make some new like-minded friends. I just won tickets to the match between Montpellier and Olympique Lyonnais this Saturday at the Red Bull Stadium (NJ) and would like to see if anyone wants to take the extra? I don’t have many friends that care for football, or watch particularly French football. This is the French Supercup so thought if any of my friends on here happens to be very keen, they should go.
